Bakhtiyar Aslanbayli Vice President, BP Azerbaijan

Bakhtiyar Aslanbayli is BP’s Vice President for Communications & External Affairs, Strategy and Region covering Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey.

Mr. Aslanbayli joined BP from PricewaterhouseCoopers in 2002 as a Tax Advisor. In his most recent role he was Regional Tax and Customs Manager for Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey.

In addition to professional activities, Mr. Aslanbayli is also a visiting lecturer of the Baku State University, ADA University and Baku Higher Oil School.  He is the author of one book and more than 50 professional articles and commentaries. He holds BA and MA in International Relations from the Baku State University.

Mr. Aslanbayli was awarded with Progress Medal by the President of Azerbaijan (2017) for contribution to the development of oil and gas industry in Azerbaijan.
